i mean, why not upgrade to linux 🙂
Because “upgrading” to linux involves new costs for the migration. And possibly new staff too. These things cost money. Duh.

Whaddayaknow, Novell might even backtrack on their intention of having a Linux kernel, in addition to NetWare.
It’s getting to the stage where the OS is becoming largely unimportant. Running NDS on Netware or Linux, so long as you have competent susadmins, there appears to be little difference. For an end user that still pokes into a bit of sysadminning when the real admins are busy, I don’t mind either way.
Of course, being in Gov, I will probably score a Linux cert course pretty soon too
