It seems that the gnu-Darwin project announced release candidate 2 of 1.1 version of its distribution.

    GNU-Darwin is an complete OS that uses Darwin as it’s kernel

    gnu darwin uses gnu userland stuff mostly

    it is simply a gnu-tools distribution built on top of the darwin kernel. it works fine, although there are not so much developers working on it
