An asynchronous event-port driven model is precisely where most program interfaces seem to be moving.

Is that a quote from the press release or are OS News using a made up word “performant”. No definition for this word exists in the 3 dictionaries i tried online and the fourth had a definition of such a word claiming it meant “a performer” as in a street performer.
