Yellow Dog, Red Hat and “the Penguin”…. Now I understand why Linux will never takes off. I can imagine that these names/symbols are hillarious to the corporate decision makers during a sales pitch presentation.
Yeah just as dumb as the typical corporate names like “big blue”, “vax”, “apple”, “wang”, “java”, “ipod”.
This one is for eugenia…..”6th post” he heheheheh
Yep – i was kidding.. it’ was a very bad joke!
sorry all.
Has anybody here used Yellow Dog Linux?
I’m curious, as to how Linux (ok, KDEs) responsiveness is compared to OS 9 finder or OS X Aqua.
IMHO an out-of-box Linux distro on x86 is much more unresponsive than BeOS or even Windows.
Does the same hold true on Macs?
And my experience from that (slow) machine, was that it was slower then MacOS, about 50-70% or so i would say.
