Does the Synaptics touchpad driver work on Mandrake/amd64 (i.e. with scrolling, multi-finger, …)?
I’m asking this because the driver segfaults on gentoo.
Mandrake for AMD64 has always given me problems. Now that this release will be 2.6 based I will probably give it another shot.
I have used Mandrake 10 beta 2 for the last week or two, and I’m quite impressed. Non of the show stoppers that I saw in the release candidates of the 32 bit version. If my pre-ordered SUSE 9.1 wasn’t already in the mail, I would probably upgrade to the RC… but Beta 2 will sufice for a few more days.
Beta2 works well on my laptop. Definitely much better than Fedora Core 2 or Suse 9.0. Will try and download these tomorrow.
IEEE1394 didn’t work, nor did multi-screens. Default screen chosen was the smaller CRT one…No updated packages are available on the clu FTPs.
Let’s hope this one brings better news!
