MyXaml is an open source development effort bringing XML markup parsing to the .NET Framework and third party object models. The concept is similar to Longhorn’s markup (code-named XAML).Classes can be instantiated, properties initialized, events wired up, and collections such as Controls initialized. MyXaml supports data binding, data sources, and is fully extensible–Style sheets are one such built in extension. Visit the project website to view on-line tutorials, discuss the technology in the forum, and download the latest version. We hope we will see a port to Mono and Portable.NET as well.
Why is this guy hosting his site off of a Windows 2000/XP Professional server, which only allows 10 people to connect.
Maybe because that is his server and the “free” version of IIS only allows 10 people to connect at the time? It is his choice to host it on his machines if he wishes to.
But he should have thought twice before submitting it on a high traffic site like osnews though.
Nothing new here. How on earth Microsoft was able to patent this stuff ?
Looks like a weak version of CLIM (the Common Lisp Interface Manager) to me.
Curious. Could you elaborate a bit on what you mean? I mean, everything XML related is a reinvention of Lisp in one way or another, but is there a stronger connection between XAML and CLIM than the usual “code is data” paradigm? XAML certainly doesn’t appear to stray to far from the usual WIMP approach, while, from what little I know of CLIM, its much more high-level.
plz Marc do sth about your server… argggggggghh
This guy should have installed apache…
I hear and obey!
I’m actively looking at resolving this problem.
Sorry everyone!
