I don’t think that last commment made any sense.
Maybe they will add suport for their bluetooth desktop set.
Why would you want bluetooth on a server?!?!
Even though I dumped XP for Linux a few months back I’m sure this SP2 release will be another attempt to secure Product Activation. Also it may be another MS attempt to keep tabs on Windows users (the evil MS back door). I highly doubt it will remedy all the bugs in the OS though if it does that would be great for XP users. How long has it been since SP1 was released? Why does it take them so long for updates?
Are you lost? This story is about Windows Server.
Really, why bother with MS stuff anymore. Where I work has SA for win2K3 for like a dozen boxes not to mention a full shop of 100 PCs but can’t even use it because it breaks to much stuff! Now they want to change it again?! Even talking about it just a waste…
The thing’s barely been out for a full year…why the need for “service packs” or “upgrades”…just patch the D@mm thing! It’s a tool, let it do it’s job…let us learn how to use it well and learn how to make money WITH it!. This is just more MS vaporware…at media expense. keeps the mill going and serious IT people from getting any work done. The time to setup and test all these new changes is worse than moving the whole thing to ANYTHING ELSE BSD, Linux, AS400…]. Worse is that they’re bragging about it…like it’s some kind of “pre-release” for the MSDN-loving crowd.
Seriously, I’ve gotten just about sick of hearing about new windows versions. I’ve been meaning to post this for about a month now. I feel it’s a waste of time anymore to bother with new MS “betas”. I’ve begun really liking IBM’s long-standing policy of closed lips until right before a release… I want to get work done with the tools I have, and know I’m not wasting my time with something “new” “just around the bend”. I want to know a company is putting full effort and support behind the product I just bought and paid good money for…not blowing smoke to cover the stocks until they can push the next thing out the door.

Sounds like where you work should spend some money a on competent IT staff.
Well, it will surely benefit those who joined Microsoft’s Licensing 6.0 Contracts and Software Assurance Agreements.
