The “Tablet PC” has been just about a complete failure for Microsoft when it comes to getting ISVs to develop for the platform. No one is interested. The Tablet PC OEMs are not happy with Microsoft either as the “Microsoft Tax” is especially forbidding on the Tablet PC OS.
Perhaps the market’s chilly reception of the Tablet PC is a sign of things to come for Microsoft. Whenever Microsoft has to make something new vs. copy from an existing company they almost always fail.

Sorry, but I don’t really see how whatever they develop on Tablet PC would result in very much overhead cost? They already have the system, they would need to develop JOT etc for their CE editions anyway.
This is just MS pocketmoney and won’t result in anything particular…
The tablet PCs markets biggest problem so far has been pricing… it’s far to expensive…
