This AfterStep release fixes numerous bugs and cleans up build system. In addition new WinTabs module had been added, althou it still remains undocumented and experimetal, but in future it will allow combining similar applications, such as text editors, terms, etc, into single window with tabs.
and WindowMaker. They’ve gotten lost in the Gnome/KDE shuffle.

AfterStep was one of the first WM I ever used when I first started using Linux back in 1998 with Red Hat 5.1. I didn’t like it then and still don’t know, it felt a bit strange to me. Its been a long time since then, I outa give it another try. Whats new in 2.0? I do like WindowMaker however, as well as FluxBox as far as light weight WMs goes.

I don’t think much has changed, it’s been rewritten so bugs are being worked out. When I had projects to do on my linux box I used it just for the wharf. I still find it handy to use and manage, even though the looks are normally ugly
