Where might I find a good how-to for Active Directory for Samba 3.0? I am running Fedora and see the option in the GUI System Tool for “ADS” but I must be doing something wrong because it doesn’t seem that I can access the file-share using a domain account.

To answer question:
you have to build samba with Openldap support and depending on environement with kerberos/heimdal (latter is the choice for FreeBSD users)
The O’Reilly Samba book with the big toucan on the cover is easily the best Samba reference out there.
Plenty of information on integrating with Active Directory Services. And the new Samba release will manage it even easier.
I was just think last night about setting up Samba on my FreeBSD box and this will come in handy. Thank you.
