While i like java , i don’t care for the memory Mile per gallon. It’s a big memory hog suv.
Kind of disappointed another language has not challenge java on terms of speed ,security, oo, memory , rad.
We are running Tomcat and JBoss all open source appservers and we use Eclipse as our IDE life is good for TCO is very very low than M$ .Not 80% percent lower.
Java is a very good platform for developing solutions for business, but it definately does not serve my interest at all.
At any rate, providing a preview of the next release iteration is what a ‘middleware platform’ should responsibly do for it’s users.
