Microsoft’s embedded group announced a new “kitting program” today which enables its embedded hardware partners to bundle free Windows CE .NET or Windows XP Embedded toolkits and runtime images with up to 1,000 of their hardware evaluation or development platforms. More details are here.
Damn! when I first read this headline, I thought it said “Knitting”. I thought “What’s Microsoft up to now! First the iLoo, now knitting software…” 🙂
Heeeeeere kitty kitty kitty!
wow… i want to hear more non-news please!
Microsoft gives away $10billion dollars this year … in licencing.
1000 kits, thats nearly a million dollars! OMG, how can they give away a million dollars?? And thats per partner! OMG, what a non-news event.
Just like being a micro$ gold partner, being a partner entitles micro$ to give away good hard earned printed licence money to you.
More non-news please! No new products from micro$ for 2 years and this is what we are given….
I prefer my Knoppix CDROM …
i hope books arent written like this in 20 years.
I kind of agree though, nothing special about this, ms is still using their old strategies. I have to admit though, they’re not stupid.
