Leonard Nimoy, the sonorous, gaunt-faced actor who won a worshipful global following as Mr. Spock, the resolutely logical human-alien first officer of the Starship Enterprise in the television and movie juggernaut “Star Trek,” died on Friday morning at his home in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles. He was 83.
“Of my friend, I can only say this: of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most… Human.”

Just hope he had a good life and/or enjoyed it.
I’ve only seen him once another role as Spock in a kind of submarine movie plot when I think and I just couldn’t get used to it. I kept seeing him as Spock .
As it happens I’m currently watching my way through Fringe, and I couldn’t help but think of him as William Bell when I first heard the news.

He was a regular cast member in Mission: Impossible. This is the original TV Show, not the Tom Cruise ego vehicle. I remember watching re-runs of it on the BBC in the 80’s.
You will always be remembered, at least by me.

A sad day. This man made more kids interested in science than any school book, magazine or government program could.
There is a lovely written article about Leonard Nimoy over at Ars: http://arstechnica.com/the-multiverse/2015/02/we-honor-mr-nimoy-the…
You will always be missed by every member of my household.
I literally shed tears for 15 minutes straight when I got this news. Mr. Nimoy you will be sadly missed.
