“The wave of departures is a sign of internal struggle, but amidst all the bad news, there is a glimmer of hope. According to an anonymous HTC executive cited by WSJ, the crucial HTC One is selling ‘pretty good so far’. The executive revealed that HTC sold about five million One units since launch, a performance that is deemed encouraging. However, sales have been limited by the persisting supply issues that still plague the production of the HTC One.” Finally some good news for HTC. Five million units amidst supply constraints is very impressive.
I tried to get one but Orange was out of stock, so I’ve asked them to send me a notification when it’s back. When they got it the stock only lasted 45mins. Of course you can find it free of contract at retailers, but I’m not that desperate

So far, their troubles seems to be linked to their Facebook partnership and the resulting HTC First. It would not surprise me if most of the rolling heads comes from people directly involved on such ill-fated operation.
Also, like I said on the other HTC news, looks like some FUD campaign was on march and people here just echoed that thing.
HTC One is a fine piece of technology, the defects, on my opinion, been only the lack of microSD and removable battery. Please, HTC launch one and I am sold!
Apparently, there are some versions of the device which support micro SD. But they are only for the Chinese market it seems.
And the ones for the Japanese markets as well. Apparently models for these two markets had enough space left on the motherboard for a microSD slot, whereas the global market versions did not.
