Sadly I have never used an Archimedes, but for a couple of years it was known as a super computer. I used to wonder how fast that would be compared to my Commodore 64.
A friend of mine had an Acorn Electron, which was a pretty cool machine. Great BASIC and very sturdy physically. Too bad it lacked joystick ports, you needed an extra interface add-on to connect them.

We used to use the Archimedes at school, is certainly had an impressive amount of CPU grunt… But was let down by its odd (personal opinion) operating system and poor graphics/audio performance… The comparable Amiga was stronger in the graphics/audio areas and despite the weaker CPU, was able to do much more exciting software
I also preferred the Amiga operating system, despite using RiscOS first… In fact for a whole year before AmigaOS.

I had a Risc PC 700 for awhile and it was really neat. But, yeah, I never cared much for riscos. It was… Odd. Even back in its day.
