Collins Stewart analyst John Vinh made the claims [that RIM is halting development of the Playbook] in a note to investors Thursday morning, citing anonymous sources at RIM’s manufacturing partner Quanta. . . A RIM spokesperson dismissed Vinh’s report and supplied BGR with an official statement.
I’m just wondering if part of the problem was going so big so soon.
Did they really need such a big initial manufacturing push with Quanta in the first place.
What happened to growing your business organically.
Also RIM should get that Android App compatibily asap.
Then again how can you compete with the others when your business model does not include content and advertising at it’s core.

Playbook hasn’t been doing well and, as fran pointed out on this thread, they need the entire pipeline to drive success in this marketplace.
