And naturally, Microsoft would know about vulnerable software, given it’s own history of security problems
Do I smell sarcasm?
But I think that Microsoft is actually a very good resource now when you want to learn about security. They have had their problems in the past, turned their company around starting from XP SP2 and have since made incredible improvements. The days of Blaster, Melissa, I love you and many others are gone now. The situation isn’t perfect yet (users are still admins by default) but the way Microsoft has been getting serious about security is impressive.
Do you have any real reason to believe that these tools aren’t useful?
