Following the previous article on the Mandriva situation, the various users communities, notably the French and German ones ( among others, as there is more and more people who express their support with the initiative ) have issued an open letter to Mandriva SA about the future of the distribution, asking for clarification about the possible deal, and their impact on the community.
Suggestion: Novell acquired the company Mandriva.

I know I’ll be flamed for this… but it hurts my eyes and brain.
Can one of the editors edit the article and 1- add an ‘s’ to “one” in “French and German one”, 2- limit the hyperlink to “German” and 3- add an ‘n’ to “a” in “a open letter”?
On-topic though: I’ve seen several other communities mentioned in the letter: Brazil, Netherlands, Colombia, Turkey, Romania and Spain.
The letter is one thing. But will the intended recipients be inclined to answer? I hope yes, for all the Mandriva users.
Done! Thanks for pointing that out.
These guys are basically saying that Mandriva found investors willing to save the distro.

The same news, in english

Why would anyone invest more money in Mandriva? As I’ve said before (http://www.osnews.com/thread?424161) Mandriva’s problem is not technological but rather managerial. Any investment that simply pumps more money into the company as it currently exists is surely going to be wasted.

Mandriva is wet dream of french communists-socialists, French community product beating up American mega capitalistic pig software. Never underestimate stupidity of national pride.
