I just need to figure out what keeps making my hard drive go.

I’m in the odd situation where I want my drive to always be spinning when it’s mounted and when unmounted I want it to spin down – I think I’ve got it doing it but the light on the drive stays on when it’s supposed to be down (but physically I can’t feel vibration). Just that minor detail of the light being on drives me up the wall. The drive is a USB 1TB Seagate)
