I use OmniWeb and Iove it. But, after all this time, they still haven’t got javascript to the point where you can use .Mac with OmniWeb. Until they do that, there is like a huge, gaping hole in it.
Well I’m currently typing this with Chimera. I’ve been flip flopping between most of the browsers for Mac, still not really having found one that fully keeps me happy. As much as I hate to admit it, IE’s accuracy is important. However, I’ve noticed Mozilla (and Chimera as such) is sometimes even more accuracte than the Mac version of IE. Omniweb is LOVELY but still far too inaccurate too much of the time. Chimera is getting better but still not rock solid in stability. And currently my bank’s online banking only works in IE and Omniweb? So I’m still in decision.
open ~/home/Library/Application Support/Chimera/Profiles/default/****.slt/prefs.js with a text editor and add/modify this lines….chimera fonts will look like omniweb.
A very nice upgrade. Many new features and fixes. The blossoming of all these browsers is wonderful.
I downloaded a nightly build since I was having problems with .5 on jaguar, and now they make a new release I have to download again.
Chimera (left) doesn’t look good compared to OmniWed (right):
