… that you can actually make it past install. I’ve tried and failed to install Debian twice, so who cares if it runs like a charm and apt-get rules if you can’t get X to work or pppoeconf makes your computer spontaneously reboot or kernel panic?

It is evil. Installed Windows XP for my parents, and detected their Dynalink modem as an Askey, result? it doesn’t dial. Installed the correct one, now it works. However, everytime they reboot, it is detected as an Askey again.

does it boot to kde by default? or is there some other text based setup that is required?
Seeing how it uses gtk as it’s interface, I would rather expect it to boot into Gnome 🙂
Well, I like the normal Debian installer, but not enough to abandon my beloved Slackware…
