The wait for Xandros Desktop is almost over. The product will first be available in box with a manual from the Xandros web site. The company says that the manufacturer indicates the product should be available for shipping in the week of October 21. OSNews recently hosted a preview of their distro. Update: PCLinuxOnline reviews Xandros Desktop beta 3.

Will there be a free download version eventually?
I hope so or is dead from the start.
Is it just me or are they doing a terrible job promoting their product?
Their web site is terrible? Very little info.
If you actually read their blurb they are talking about a new website, shots and more info. But I agree that until today they tried to not create lots of noise around their product.
Trust me, most of the people who are interested in downloading a bunch of ISOs wouldn’t be interested in Xandros.
but if it is not usable, font for example, why then would a windows user choose a product they cant use?
