Wow, who knew directio would spark such a flamewar! But seriously, I would enjoy giving AIX a shot if a machine came my way.
Just in case there are any gurus out there, I have noticed that a lot of cross-platform software distributions are much larger (in bytes) on AIX than on, say, Solaris or HP-UX. There is probably a reason for that, anyone know?
