Version 5.0 OF IBM’s WebSphere Studio software for developing Web applications is scheduled for release Tuesday, featuring new tools for working with legacy applications written in Cobol and PL1 and support for the latest batch of open-source standards and software.

just the other day I began to have the want to learn Cobol, but Oreilly doesn’t have a book with a cute animal so the want went away. I guess it’s the same urge to go learn latin or dig up dinosours, that old not really used/ dead thing. Feel retro to know cobol. Maybe i will leave Cobol to Wally and Bob working on old betty.
