The UnitedLinux organization plans today to release their first public beta. As of writing this, only the TurboLinux ftp site has an ongoing uploading of the UnitedLinux ISO file. Watch out for more. Update: More mirror sites here.

DSL RULES
The Turbolinux ftp site is maxed out atm (they have bandwidth for only 100 users) and after many connection efforts, I got to download the first ISO for about 55 KB/sec. I stopped the download process though, not going to download it yet. The people at TurboLinux are uploading as I am writting this, the second ISO CD.
Funny that the rest 3 UnitedLinux members haven’t updated their FTP sites yet with the beta. Only Turbolinux has…
?
Sure.

it would be very nice, if you could provide some screenshots for us, who still use modem.
thank
I won’t download UnitedLinux because I don’t care about server OSes. This OS is made for server purposes and I don’t expect it to include any full-blown/modified/cool desktop environment. There is nothing new to be seen. If you have seen already KDE and Gnome, well, they won’t be any different on UL. This OS is mostly created to run in text mode anyway, as a server.
i must agree with Eugenia the os is nothing new i dowloaded it, installed it, and sayed “is this it” it doesnt even have a “branded” kicker……just a unitedlinux wallpaper as the defult for kde. as a matter of fact it didnt even install kpackage, or anything like that all it had was to install software was the text “rpm” program
if your thinking of downloading it for “desktop” use…..DONT!
