From Deadly.org: “Yep, bagged and tagged, 3.2 is in beta. Snapshots are up, and you can keep up to date on -current via CVS. Give it a whirl, please test it and make 3.2 a solid release. I’m running it on a couple of systems and find it to be pretty stable, so far.”
Why the hell do they make it available with a openssl that is know to have security issues..i know its a beta but is it
that much trouble..
Perhaps, though that version is old, it’s patched. It’s a common practice in Debian, they keep the software versions they know are stable enough, and patch the security bugs in those versions.
i’d be damn surprised if they shipped with an insecure openssl…especially since security is one of the things OpenBSD is known for

If there is anything I have learned since I started using OpenBSD in June of 2001(v2.9), these people are playing at a level that I can only dream of playing. A little terse but they know what they are doing. Which is why I am seriously hanging onto their coat tails. Yes it may be similar to a blind man learning how to StreetLuge but the rewards are spectacular. My little laptop here(P130) almost never needs any attention. Quite often I feel like I am in a bomb shelter and all I have to do is make sure the power keeps running and everything else will take care of itself. It’s been that good.
