The court decided yesterday, at a trial where an internet cafe’s owner was charged of letting his customers play Counter Strike, that the law that prohibited playing games is unconstitutional. This paves the way for the law to be struck down. There’s some additional information at ZDNet UK.
Well, maybe the Greeks do know a thing or two afterall
I didn’t expect any gamers to back down and not say anything about this pathetic law. It’s good to see that people are starting to protest about computer rights.
Yay!!!
“I didn’t expect any gamers to back down…”
I can almost picture them walking into government buildings with railguns or BFG10Ks ; )
Nobody has made the argument that Counter Strike is a terrorist training program in disguise?
They were a lot of gamers outside the court shouting messages, I was told.
If Stoiber wins the elections in Germany he will ban all bloodthirsty 3rd person shooters. Games are the root of evil … yeah right!
Laws like that don’t get overtrown like that (as is the case with DMCA and the like)…
Cheers…

There are people who can change things, and there others who know how to insult. The previous article written by the “editor in chief” was a clear violation of the site’s terms.
There was no violation of any terms. It was an EDITORIAL. Editorial means “personal opinion”.
See header.
Yay….. Lets all play Counter-Strike!
