I agree, you are really offtopic.
Let’s look at the facts, OSNews.com looks good in every browser; whether or not they follow standards is up to them. When I do a page, I follow the HTML 4.01 traditional standard; but that’s beside the point. You are not good to tell them how to do their page.
Thanks.
In a perfect world, writing to the W3C standards would work fine. Unfortunately, if you want a page to look decents on most or all browsers, you can’t write to the standard and you have to put in lots of little hacks for various browsers.
Nice to see another version of SkyOS
About W3C… who cares? OSNews looks great on pretty much every webbrowser inveneted (and then some) so it really doesntmatter if it’s W3C compliant.
The link to the new SkyOS version doesn’t work..
I don’t see any sort of “overview” or general history page on the SkyOS website. Is this the one that’s written entirely in X86 assembler? Or is it the one associated with Atheos in some way? Anyways, I guess I could read the forums here to find that out, but I really shouldn’t need to….
the 86 assembler one is menuetOS. SkyOS seems to be a monolithic kernal based OS written from scratch. It is not related to AtheOS
Hmmm, I can’t download either.
Eugenia has addressed the OS News and standards business at least once and perhaps many times.

Read the new SkyOS programmers book. There is a chapter with overview and general information.
You can download it from the documents site.
The SkyOS 3.9.1 release download link is fixed now.
