AIX has a vast array of commands that enable you to do a multitude of tasks. Depending on what you need to accomplish, you use only a certain subset of these commands. Thank you! Bookmarked here too. Every day at work I’m in Linux, AIX, Solaris and sometimes HP-UX; knowing how to do X in Unix Y is always a trip through Google, but this looks much faster.
smit keeps a log of all the commands it executes, do something with smit, read the smit log, man and make a script out of it.
