Japanese electronics maker Fujitsu said on Wednesday it would recall 287000 notebook PC batteries made by Sony, bringing the number of Sony batteries recalled to more than 7.5 million. After Apple, Dell, Toshiba, and IBM/Lenovo, and Sony itself, Fujitsu is the 6th company to recall Sony batteries.

When I was growing up, they did have an excellent reputation.
But that was a long, long time ago.
Last year, I would have put Sony in the same category as Samsung. But after the events of the past year, I’d put that brand name’s value a little below “Yugo”.
DRM? Root Kit? Batteries so flawed that they can actually kill?
