Microsoft today brought three of its Internet services out of beta: Live.com, Windows Live Local, and Windows Live Search. Live.com lets you add persistent search results to your own Live.com homepage, and the ability to subscribe to RSS feeds from search results. Windows Live Local provides an expansion of bird’s-eye imagery and you can now send content or links to mobile devices using your device’s phone number as the address. Windows Live Search has a fresh user interface and adds a revamped search with subcategories like image and local search.

Really?
Doing a search takes you to a URL like this:
http://beta.search.live.com/results.aspx?q=javascript+examples
not bad, the interface is decent tho its the same as google hehe
i have been doing some test searches and live search returns pretty good results esp if its microsoft related like looking info about patches or MS languages. tho I still like google

I prefer it so much more than google personalized home page. But i too prefer google search over live search.
I think UI, wise its pretty good. its searching is also good. tho google returns more results for some things.
but, live search is pretty new. overall I give it a decent review. so far….

True, and atleast the website isn’t bloated like the xtramsn and ninemsn there is down under; if we want to surf the net, we don’t want to spend 1/2 our time waiting for the website to load its pretty graphics.
They’ve taken a good leaf from the google book and delivered. As for the search quality, I’d say it depends on what you’re looking for.
