Rational on Monday spruced up its XDE Professional tool with support for Microsoft’s Visual Basic.Net language and ASP.Net class library technology, which makes it easier to build complex Web-based business systems by handling much of the underlying plumbing. In the meantime, Microsoft is shipping to testers a new Visual Studio .NET, codenamed Everett Beta 1.
…that “Everett” is the name of a Seattle-area town that is pretty much a shit hole. I wonder how this reflects on the product. I love naming snafus.
It’s the same thing with Slashdot, it’s just posting it here so I don’t have to go looking for it. Sort of an old debate, but do I really care if the headline is reworded? The only thing missing is quotation marks from the _linked_ article. Here you are ” “, now imagine them above. I think you are nitpicking.
I would say the right thing to do would be to start it with proper attribution, like in “news.com writes: ” and so on.
But it is not like it is a critical detail, never hurts to be better than slashdot as far as journalism goes (kinda hard to be worse though
who gives a shit, read it if you’re interested, move on if your not. Jeez.
The links point to the original sources, so it’s not like OSNews isn’t giving them credit for the stories. I like sites like OSNews and Slashdot that aggregate news from other places. I don’t have to sift through all the crap on ZDNet, Cnet, etc.
