DB2 support is a good thing and this is an IBM article, but to say … “Because Rails emerged from the open source world, until recently you had to use MySQL or PostgreSQL to work with it.” needs correction.
Rails has supported Oracle since Feb 2005, and SQLServer for almost as long. Sybase is also supported. Take your pick.
