For me it doesn’t get much better than KSokoban when it comes to KDE.
I already posted this on the Dot, but give Codeine a try http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=17161
A video player that just works, and has all of one button. It’s awesome.
The same guy wrote filelight, which is actually a whole lot cooler than codeine .
While I like the sound of a “mood bar” how accurate can it actually be? I like to listen to Nirvana, as an example, when I’m happy, sad or wanting motivation. I’ll listen to Zero 7 if I’m chilled out or feeling happy. I don’t see how a piece of software can categorise that sort of random and per-person mood rating? Or have I missed an announcement for USB-heart-and-blood-pressure-monitors?
The “only a play button” media player is a good idea – I like how people developing for KDE are coming up with more simplistic approaches at the same time as the more hectic and complicated ones.
if you want a simple movieplayer, try codeine. a simple but powerfull musicplayer is the default KDE music player, Juk. both are easy to use, but have all you’ll basically need. Gnome is not the only DE that can make easy-to-use software… actually, both Juk and Codeine are way better than their Gnome counterparts, both in ease of use and what they can do – IMHO.
Juk looks good, very similar in operation to Banshee. I was just amazed at how Codeine only has that one button. When you think about it, it makes perfect sense

Are you sure? Mine has 2, do you forget the full screen button?

Actually it’s a little lacking, it should have an additional fast forward button. Since the position slider is not too precis and don’t give satisfying controll.
