CISA says the U.S. government has extended MITRE’s funding to ensure no continuity issues with the critical Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) program.

While I agree, they were at least able to secure funding without a loss of continuity. The fact that a CVE Foundation is appearing may also end up being a really good thing. Given the state of the world, this seems to be a bright spot for now.
