Apple today seeded the first beta of the upcoming macOS 11 Big Sur update to its public beta testing group, allowing non-developers to give the software a try ahead of its public release this fall.
This is really the optimal moment to test the upcoming release. The iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 public betas have also been released.
I’m excited to see how Big Sur is actually different beyond the theme, and if there’s any clear indications of the direction they’re going.
Wow. Hell has frozen over. I guess Apple couldn’t take not being able to have 4K YouTube on their gear. They have finally added WebP and VP9 support to Safari. Hope that also means within the OS too outside of Safari. Wonder how long they will drag out AVIF and AV1 support.
