erm – right
How much did Redmond pay for this commercial break?
[i]Cynical – moi?
Stop being unfair, sarcastic and a freaking idiot, or you will see your IP banned. Since yesterday I get a lot of this bullshit from our readers, and I am one step from allowing only selected, good and in-depth comments to be posted here (as news.com does).
Your post is extremely unfair, and if you think that I do not have feelings (just because I am the “editor”), and you think you can write whatever comes to your mind, you are WRONG.
I say this for 1000000000th time:
OSNEWS IS NOT ONLY ABOUT ALTERNATIVE OSES, IN FACT, IT IS MORE ABOUT WINDOWS, AS THIS IS THE DOMINANT OPERATING SYSTEM TODAY.
DEAL WITH IT.
Or, don’t come back. Plain and simple.
Actually I think OSNews is a very good site – which is why i always read it before Slashdot,ZDNet and the rest.
I also feel that this article jars slightly with the usual tone of postings here. It looks a bit like a MS press release, especially in the Precis form above.I’m not an Alt.OS weenie, I’ve run a few of them and come back to Windows – I am a bit cynical and sarcastic.. hmm.
So I’m sorry if you feel you were unfairly criticized – I’ve seen the shit you get from some of your regulars and I think a lot of it is way unfair – but , on the flipside, OSNews as a website would be nothing without an audience – like a theatre playing to an empty auditorium. You need us as much as we need you.
I’m also on a UK ISP that, as most do over here, assigns rotating IP addresses between its 15 million unique customers according to log-on time 🙂
I have no problem with this article but Windows is not the dominant OS in PDAs today. So maybe PocketPC/smartphone is an alternative OS after all I just prefer to be “empowered” with PalmOS or Symbian
