netbsd rulez
already running it here.
thanks for the great work netbsd foundation
nice!
This appears to be primarily bugfixes (and the odd security patch). So in what way does it differ to 2.0.1?
I thought they were having .x.x releases for bugfixes, and .x releases for new features. (With 3.0 for major overhauls).
Any ideas anyone?
(Oh, and I wish they’d ditch Sushi, or fix it. It’s a great idea but broken in many places — and it’s not right to have it amongst the clean and elegant NetBSD code!)
What problems have you had with Sushi? I’ve only sort of dabbled with it out of curiosity and don’t use it for proper regular administration.
Well, I only tried it in the original 2.0 release, but I remember a few of the features not working — throwing up errors when I tried to change system settings on an untouched, vanilla installation.
Perhaps it’s been updated now, and maybe the other functions worked fine, but I just remember having troubles with it and thinking it didn’t fit in well with the otherwise immaculate NetBSD system. I plan to install NetBSD on a Mac again soon, so I’ll see if it’s made any progress!
From now on, the first week of november each year will be the BSD week! (openbsd release, netbsd release, freebsd: iminnent) ))
What about the 3d / Nvidia support? Is there any?
in freebsd only as far as I know (if you have binary drivers in mind).
