I was just about to install FreeBSD and MySQL to do some testing on the new InnoDB tables, and this paper comes right at the perfect time. The author went up to putting screenshots for step by step FreeBSD setup, which is excellent.
HTML exists now. Why is this in PDF? I don’t need an external viewer for HTML… Most people with a clue are going to convert it to HTML anyways…
Well PDF does print pretty well, and obviously you’ll need to print it at some point (since displaying HTML is difficult when booting the FreeBSD CD for installation)
If you are know FreeBSD well, you will find a lot of mistakes in this guide, for example, locating of sshd config file.
If you find some errors you could just send an e-mail to the author so that he can correct it. Help him help better.
Now that’s one of the problems with locally saved files, they won’t update as the author updates them
