FUDCon 2, the second gathering of Fedora Users and Developers, was held at LinuxTag, on the 24th and 25th of June in Karlsruhe, Germany. FUDCon 2 featured presentations from prominent members of the Fedora Project, both from Red Hat and from the Fedora community.
I thought it was a Microsoft convention.
RTFA
FUD: An acronym for Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt. A typical tactic used by the opponents of open source to prevent its widespread adoption.
Con: In opposition or disagreement with; against.
The first thing that came through my mind when I saw “FUD”…
Is there any way by which I can write on to the mounted ntfs drive in linux.

That’s an interesting way to think about it, but I think it is just Fedora Users and Developers Conference and not anti-fear, uncertainty and distrust.
I’m sure the double entendre was intentional. Whereas with microsoft’s gnomedex, I’m not so positive.

Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt you mean
Anyways, this is straying off topic rather quickly 😛
There were one or two presentations that I would have liked. So I clicked on it, and what do I get .sxi! I thought, huh, what’s that? Then after some searching I realized its Open Office. Well people not everybody has OpenOffice! I use OSX, and OO is not usable. What gets me is that people complained and whined about MS Office, and here these same people are doing the exact same thing!
I am not expecting MS Office. I am expecting either HTML or PDF! Jeez!
Well, it is the Fedora Users and Developers Conference. All of the FC distros include OO for installation.
While not everybody has OO, it is available at no cost for your OSX platform.
Not sure what you mean by OO not usable in OSX. That’s not been my experience.
Sure HTML or PDF is nice, but FC Users and Developers Conference making use of the applications that are easily available to them would be expected. Similarly if you were at a Mac developers conference, you might likely see some presentations that were done in Keynote.
Try NeoOffice J, an OO.o based application for OSX. http://www.neooffice.org/
