It seems like a time for all of us to keep our personal costs low, put money into savings and work very hard. At the same time we should spend time with our families. I am sacrificing all my personal hobbies to work more and be with the family more. My Pentium II 300 Mhz is not looking so old anymore. I have a medium ammount of credit card debt that I have a strong feeling I should pay off ASAP. God bless all your homes and families and may you have the things you need.
i am sitting here trying to make a choice…
1 go to college and TRY to find a job just like all the others that have gotten layed off and have a better resume then i would being fresh from college…
2 i go to the Marines and fight for the country and have a job that i cant get fired from… but the down side is that i may be shot
so what do you think i should do…
While joining the Marines/Armed Forces is a great thing to do, don’t put off college just because the job market is a little down right now. Getting an education will benefit you the rest of your life. I’m currently still in school (last year of my master’s in CS) and am a little dismayed at the current job market, but I don’t regret the education/experience I am receiving.
IMHO there’s a lot more to college than just learning job skills.
i will be attending college while in the armed forces…
and on 9/11 gave me more motovation to go into the forces…
