Lycoris Desktop was the first Linux Distro I was able to successfully install a few years ago, although my experience is somewhat limited with it, From what I have heard the newer versions of lycoris are quite nice and very intuitive.
I really see this as a good move for Mandiva, as well as the move to acquire Connectiva
Now i’m just waiting to see if Mandiva acquires some debian distro, Xandros anyone?
I’m guessing the Lycoris logo is going to fade with the original product, which is too bad because IMO it does look nicer than the Mandriva star.
I would like to see either development tools + KDevelop and Qt Designer in the Discovery edition, or Joseph Cheek’s changes in the PowerPack edition. Any chance of that?
I’d post my comment on the DesktopOS article, but I don’t want to register for just that. If anyone here has an account for that site could you please forwards my question if Joseph Cheek doesn’t answer it here. Thanks.
Unfortunately, the CEO goes into more depth about travel advice for prospective Paris tourists than he does about the details of the future of Mandriva with Lycoris in his pocket.

In all fairness, his answers were perfectly in line with the somewhat clueless questions the “interviewer” was asking.

“I had to keep it simple and I had to ask different questions to those that had already been asked in his other Interviews.”
See, this is the reason I do not go to this persons site any more, well one of the reasons anyway. Instead of coming up with unique content, he is more concerned with jumping on the current bandwagon, even though there is absolutly no value to it, as all the good questions have already been asked.
Then I go to the Lycoris community site, and I see post after post of him begging people to replace that site with his.
To Albert, I feel your comments are unfair and untrue and I think if your interested in the topics that DesktopOS.com covers then you should give it a second chance.

Overall, not worth reading.

The interview lacks substance, as does DesktopOS.

Tim, even you have to admit that you do a lot of trolling in forum sites and post only to drop your site’s link as often as you can.
I believe Albert’s comment was completely on the mark, and not out of line.
