Visopsys is an alternative operating system for PC compatible computers. Version 0.55 was released today. It is a maintenance and bugfix release that makes things a bit ‘snappier’ and more reliable, with some additional capabilities including installation support for all FAT filesystems, baseline PCI driver support, and a better organised device infrastructure. In addition, GUI window layout and resizing has been reimplemented and generally fixed. You can get it here.
keep up the great work
the name “Visual OS” is not a good name for such a bad looking OS
I think it’s great to see people experimenting with other OS. The design behind it wasn’t very clear though.
It’s a pretty decent OS, nothing that you would ditch all your other OS’s for. But, for all the effort, i think it’s pretty good.
Its a very nice project, but as I said in the past, Andrew should use an existing iconset instead of those ugly icons… In order to get the people more excited about his project.
…it seems to have a useful looking little disk manager…
still looking for a fast os with a nice editor and fat32 support… beos would be nice but doesn’t run on my latitude c840 (video card unsupported)
I hope i get one
