Tech support says they aren’t even planning on it anytime soon. Why release an Amd64 laptop if you don’t plan on supporting a 64bit Windows?

Just run Wine, opt for Windows validation, and run the validator in “WinXP” mode (it’s an option of Wine). Works fine for me. If you’re running an amd64 version of Linux, you may need to setup an i386 chroot to run it. Also, I think you can opt-out anyway…
