Lycoris has announced that it has found a distributor in Taiwan. Thanks to their new distributor, the previously moribund Desktop/LX Tablet Edition will again be available bundled with tablet PCs, this time from two companies based in Taiwan, Dialogue Technology and MoBitS Electronics.
good news for Lycoris
go lycoris go………….
Eugenia: it was only your opinion that it was “moribund” but that has never been the case.
It was not my opinion. That’s what was submitted by Jason Prince, the news submitter. I have no opinion over the Desktop/LX Tablet Edition.
My apologies Eugenia I should read the full “posted by” line before I type
I used the word “moribund” because Element Computer, the only OEM to go for Tablet Edition, opted out a while back and the product was not available in any form. Dictionary.com defines “moribund” as either “approaching death; about to die” or “on the verge of becoming obsolete” – the former described this state fairly well.
If you say so… but if you want to be a good “reporter” you should really try to be sure your facts are correct. Tablet has never been near death and has been under constant and active development.. Just because you are not the first to know something doesnt not mean its is “moribund”.
You couldn’t buy it for over 6 months! That’s pretty moribund to me.
hehe.. if you say so…
hey, hows desktopos going? last I heard you guys were struggling for news content… not a bit moribund maybe?
Haha, actually a bit more true than you realise. We’re just trying to expand on the status quo, that’s all. Anyway, this is off-topic.
I have a Motion Computing M1400, can I buy this rather than using Windows XP Tablet PC edition?

Whilst strickly speaking the tabletPC edition is not stand alone product, I would sugest you cantact the sales team and make some enquiries.
