This is a great article and highlights some of the reasons SciTech got involved with the Amiga project – cheers Ben!
Good straightforward honest interview. Great news about Sci-tech SNAP driverS. Feeling much more positive again, despite the ongoing delays.
Although a bit late in the day it would have been great to have people working on this as volunteers (even under NDA). No reason why people shouldn’t be able to volunteer for non-OSS projects is there?
They already have 77 beta-testers and dozens of developers involved with this project, so I doubt they would need more people at this stage with regard to the OS development itself.
However, if you are a competent software developer interested in AmigaOS4 software development, then maybe you should contact Ben.
There’s always plenty of things that AmigaOS could do with.
For example, the Python port seems to have been neglected lately and it can’t be used to code GUI based programs.
There’s little if any up to date educational software (it all seems to be written for 15 year old Amigas).
You could try to persuade the author of “Draw Studio” to let you improve the program.
