“Yahoo’s embattled CEO Scott Thompson is set to step down from his job at the Silicon Valley Internet giant, in what will be dramatic end to a controversy over a fake computer science degree that he had on his bio, according to multiple sources close to the situation.” I can’t even bother to feign interest.
Who? What?
Is it a small startup I never heard about?
He lied on his resume. Any of us normal mortals who did this would be fired.
According to CNet the man told the board he has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and will be stepping down to begin treatment. So it looks like the whole “Gate” BS was just that, unless someone thinks he is lying about thyroid cancer?
If ordinary people were allowed to lie to get a CEO position so that they can pay for their cancer treatment, this won’t be a problem.
With the golden parachute he’ll probably getting, he’s probably thinking Yahoo!

Also, does Yahoo not realize they’re not going to solve their troubles by putting in yet another marketing/sales person into the CEO position?
