implies a big compromise.

As long as Intel is merging a herd of small Linux mobile distros into Tizen, why not add Enyo? While I miss the elegance of Qt, I’m enticed by the brilliance of Enyo. Let’s not create new web frameworks when we have a winner here, shall we?
I just picked up a webOS phone. And it’s awesome. I really hope the platform continues to live.

Spent the last day or so playing with Enyo 2 for the first time… I’m really impressed! Enyo is a really well designed framework and I’m very happy that HP has freed it – I would have never seen it otherwise…
ps. For the developers out there Enyo 2 is not a WebOS thing – it no longer has any dependencies on WebOS, webkit, or HP hardware devices. It now works on all the major browsers (even IE). It is a simple and elegant application development framework for building HTML5 apps in JavaScript. It’s also tightly namespaced, so you can use it along with other frameworks (jQuery, Prototype, Mojo, whatever). Highly recommend giving it a look.
