AIAB as well as AmigaSYS (with OS 3.9) packages allow usage of PNG and OS4 icon sets.
I like the 0S3.9 inspired icons dAMIr created as used by AIAB, but personally I greatly prefer Ken’s OS4 icon set. Some example screenshots of AIAB together with alternative icon sets:

Remembering the hours i had with that fine game makes happy.
The Amiga was the greatest Computer of all time. I really hope AROS development will speed up.
Cheers!
I kinda like Tonys PNG set the best. I think the Kens look a little blockish
@ Paul Gallant
I especially prefer Ken’s drawers over anything I have seen so far with an AmigaOS-style.
I now also included some screenshots of dAMIr’s PNG icons as designed with AROS in mind, but also used within this AIAB package. The Amiga community surely has some good artists. ๐

AmigaOS should aim for the cell processor…
So long as they don’t join forces with Sony…
…then we’d end up with a bunch of Amiga that need shipped back to the factories for repair every so many months, not to mention machines that never quite seem to match up to the specs advertised.
Better with Nintendo then, enjoyable games, and think of beeing able to download ALL old Nintendo + ALL old Amiga titles (not possible since I don’t know how they would get the rights to them but anyway) to your next gen console. , Finally some decent games for the modern hardware
Finally some new icons !
That’s all we needed !!
Leo.
Nice work
I want to use UAE instead of WinUAE thought :/
I have AF and have not been able to sucessfully install AIAB nor any Icon set other than the default at all. Anyone know of any guides anywhere?
@ DFergATL
Like stated over at AmigaWorld.net I am planning to write an article for a new version of AF (next one which comes with Win v1.0).
To use any of the new PNG or OS4 icons with your AF setup you will need to install PowerIcons.

You can test PowerIcons by simply executing the program. If you like to continue using it, you need to drop PI into your WBStartup drawer or add it to your startup-sequence (or user-startup) script.
I’ve never quite liked most AmigaOS screenshots that I’ve saw, even if I somewhat enjoyed some stuff that I played in UAE. However, one managed to arrange a good looking setup in these screenshots! Man… Those iconsets rocks!
That’s it, Icons! how I did not realize before???

To be honest me neither. The problem with all AmigaOS 3.x releases was that they were designed to be still usable on 14 Mhz CPUs. This didn’t leave much room for ‘Eyecandy’. During the early 90s MagicWB/MUI made AmigaOS and its WB apps look nice enough, but IMO the GUI looks was never really a selling point for the official (uncustomized) OS3.x releases.
However AIAB does demonstrate some strong points of the OS, such as its flexible, modular and open architecture. Which other OS available in 1992 can be expanded and updated with 3rd party efforts like AmigaOS can be?
