While we understand this is an inconvenience, we are making this change to ensure we can continue to deliver a safe, secure, and stable Chrome for the most Mac users possible.” I’m okay with this – Snow Leopard was released in August 2009, so it’s been three years since the last machines with Leopard shipped. On top of that, Apple’s prices for new releases are so low, there’s really no excuse not to have upgraded by this point (unless Apple decided to obsolete your hardware, in which case, well, that’s what you get when you buy Apple or Android or Windows Phone).
Yeah, the only people I can imagine are legitimately affected by this would be PPC users.

What? Assuming they had a later version than Leopard before, why would they not just reinstall that instead?
Chrome has never supported PowerPC Macs, so they’re not affected by this.
Google never paid the price to port v8 to PPC, JIT engine are not portable like the code they run. They need arch specific backends.
TenFourFox still has the guys on PPC Macs covered http://tenfourfox.blogspot.com/ been using that when I wanted to switch from Debian to 10.4 to run my old Mac games, WebM videos even work well.
I’m not surprised. There are plans for Firefox 17 or 18 to drop OSX 10.5 support too. (hopefully Firefox 18 so support will be in the ESR)
